Ancient Aliens is My Gateway Drug

On the History Channel’s Ancient Aliens, “ancient astronaut theorists” reexamine the work of archaeologists, historians, and folklorists to discover evidence of long-standing extraterrestrial interaction with humans.

It’s hard not to poke fun at Ancient Alien’s camp factor. Check out ancient astronaut theorist Giorgio A. Tsoukalos’ hair. More gel for added credibility.

According to these theorists, the Nazca Lines in Peru served as aerial markers and runways for spacecraft.  Mayan and Egyptian pyramids, Stonehenge, the Moai of Easter Island, and Bolvia’s Puma Punku – all constructed by or through the aid of extraterrestrials. Angelic demonic visions in Hebrew, Christian and Hindu texts– aliens. Vimanas (mythical flying machines) in Sanskrit stories– spaceships.  In fact, anything that flies in mythology is “spacecraft” and all gods in “primitive” cultures are, in fact, extraterrestrials. The arguments are a bit far-reaching at times,  the logic a little scattered.  I consider some of their points to be valid; most I just consider.

However, watching this show led me down a rabbit hole of Internet entertainment I would never have clicked through otherwise. My curiosity awakened,  I started watching documentaries like The Silent Revolution of Truth, a film that chronicles the spectacularly unusual life of Billy Meier.  Meier is described as “a real life combination of Indian Jones, Han Solo and Larwence of Arabia” and claims to have had regular, lifelong contact with humanoid aliens from Pleiades.

Then, there’s Moon Rising.  From the YouTube description:

For over 50 years we have been told and convinced the Moon is nothing more than a black and white desolate rock with moon dust and craters. The thousands of photos released to the public have always presented a black and white Moon. Even the most recent Hubble Photographs of the Moon are black and white. NASA continues to perpetuate the “lie” that the Moon is black and white. Moon Rising is the first film that presents Full Color Photography of the Moon.

This program also explains how and why NASA is covering up the truth about the moon.  If you are willing to overlook poor production quality, you can learn a lot.  For example, the moon is hollow and rings like a bell.

I’ve also discovered that there are 57 species of aliens, and I have been introduced to colorful folks like David Icke, who believes that a race of shape-shifting, reptilian humanoids controls humanity.  The more clicks in, the weirder it gets, the more I’m entertained.

Of course there are a lot of wackadoos out there.  But what do you guys think?  Are we alone?

  1. As a matter of fact, I enjoy watching this show “Ancient Aliens” . It does give some thoughts to ponder and some I cannot phantom or believe! As to whether we are alone or not…I highly think not. I remember of what happened about 500 years ago. North, South and Central America was discovered by what was called the “civilized” world. Yea, I know, the Viking had already found North America but still….That being said, who is to say that there aren’t any undiscovered worlds out there with a highly developed civilization? I believe it’s condescending that humans are the only ones. Just my opinion. And no I’m not a wacko…lol. Something to consider.

  2. Forgot to add that I really wish the guy featured in the photo would do something about that stupid hair!!!

  3. Oh my god…I once read something on twitter that lead me to a post similar to the one below (It’s not the exact one, though…the one I originally read had frantic comments from readers wondering how they could get their names on the government’s entry list should aliens attack) about the secret underground world hidden beneath the Denver Airport. Yes, it involves aliens, New World Orders, and government detainment camps.

  4. I got a reading from a lady who claimed to communicate with Pleiadian spirits. She disapproved of my use of menstrual suppression drugs and claimed my PMDD would go away if I merely dealt with my spiritual issues. *sigh* She did say that she felt an “energetic disturbance” around my right shoulder, and a few days later I developed a pinched nerve there. Hopefully that was not some creepy self fulfilling prophecy?

Oh, Sarah!! If you enjoy this sort of thing, you should totally check out the website The Black Vault http://www.theblackvault.com/ If there is a conspiracy theory out there (aliens, reptilians, remote viewing, orbs, ghost hunting, moon landing hoax, 9/11 troofers, anti vaxers, you name it) someone has started a thread about it on there. Unfortunately the forums themselves are on their second or third restart, so there is not as much there as when I first joined up back in 2004-ish. But there is more to it than the forums, anyway. Lots of government documents and stuff like that. Also, I met my husband there. True Story. He still posts all the time, to.
PS We have a David Icke book somewhere, and when Jim was reading it he’d be all like, “hey babe?” to get my attention, and when I’d look at him he’d be holding the book open to the page where David Icke had seen fit to include a completely nude photo of himself. Fun times.

    • Stupid WordPress spammed your comment, Shannon! The NERVE. I see a lot of excellent browsing in my future. I need to know about your theblackvault.com romance!

HAHAHA that’s cruel, but also fantastic.

I’m not shocked! A lot of these sites probably set off some spam filters. I will tell you all about our interweb romance sometime, no problem. My husband is a cruel man, true story!
